Regular tattoos last a lifetime. While they may fade a bit, you would need to undergo laser tattoo removal if you ever wanted to get rid of a tattoo. With microbladed brows, the ink is not placed as deep underneath the skin. This means the ink eventually rises to the surface, fades significantly over time, and disappears completely after a few years. This is why regular touch-ups are important to keep your eyebrows looking their best.
Microblading uses a different type of ink. The ink we use for eyebrow treatments does not turn blue or brown like traditional tattoo ink – it maintains the original hue even as it fades.
We use two methods for drawing eyebrows: digital or microblading techniques. The latter involves using fine needles to hand-draw individual hairs. For digital brows, we use a special machine that looks like a pen, with a fine needle that moves up and down. This is similar to a traditional tattoo machine but offers greater control and doesn’t go as deep into the skin. Traditional tattooing uses a larger coil machine that can’t produce such fine strokes.
You might feel pressure and a scratching sensation when getting an eyebrow treatment, but most customers agree there is minimal pain and discomfort. Traditional tattooing can be quite painful.
Microblading uses hair-like strokes that follow the natural growth pattern of the eyebrows, creating soft, natural-looking brows. Tattooed eyebrows tend to look flatter or drawn on.
